Made of Heart & Sand
I’ve created a versatile, self-watering pot designed for plants that need different moisture levels. Now, I’m excited to share it with retailers and customers who will appreciate the unique, functional design!

2nd Prototype: New Mix, New Challenges, and Next Steps
The second prototype brings progress, but also unexpected challenges. The new cement mix is significantly heavier than the first, and while perlite helped lighten the original version, it caused texture issues. The increased weight has also raised concerns about the durability of the structural plate supporting the fountain's pot. To address these, I plan to use finer-grade perlite and invest in a vibrating table to improve texture and consistency. On a positive note, the pump fits well in the structural plate, confirming that key components are coming together. Despite the hurdles, these lessons are bringing me closer to a more refined, functional design.

Baby Fountain: A Journey from Concept to Creation
The journey of designing a modern wooden planter with an integrated water feature, from an ambitious 3-foot-tall concept to a more manageable, table-sized piece. It highlights how 3D printing and in-house production transformed the design process. The post emphasizes the fusion of innovative technology and craftsmanship to create a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and conscious manufactured piece.
